Imogene Lillian (Sunderland) Denney, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother came into this world on June 27, 1929 in May, Oklahoma to George Edward and Phoebe Jane (Foster) Sunderland. Pat attended May, Ft. Supply and Woodward schools and graduated from Woodward High School in 1947. She attended the Bethany Nazarene College and while attending college she worked on the switchboard at the school. She met the love of her life, Irvin Denney on January 6, 1950 and there was never any other. They were united in marriage on December 23, 1950 in the Woodward Nazarene Church. They were blessed with one son, Mike and two daughters, Susie and Cindy and they were the most important thing in Pat and Irvin’s life along with other family and friends. Pat stayed at home with her children until Cindy started school. She went to work for Cowdens, which later was bought by Tregos West Wear and the Fruit of the Loom Factory, where she was a Seamstress. Pat helped Irvin at Woodward Glass and Body, the business they owned together for a number of years. She also worked at Stage and worked there until April of 2011.

Camping, fishing, and boating at Eureka Springs, Beaver Lake and Ft. Supply were a major part of Pat and Irvin’s life. She also enjoyed cooking and sewing for her friends and family. The greatest joy of Pat’s life was her family, especially her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.
